How if Virus Destroyed Computer Settings?

Usually the computer has been infected (infected) virus, then a few settings in the Disable Windows (not enabled). This is because the Windows Registry System has been changed by the virus. Could actually restore manually, but it may be difficult (for those who still lay with the registry), no safe and long. How can more easily and safely?

Registry is the component (special file) that is essential for Windows, by changing some parts of the registry, we can further optimize computer performance. But this is often exploited viruses, by changing the configuration so that often several applications or settings can not be accessed.

For example some of the following events:
Task Manager can not be opened (Ctrl + Alt + Del), always appear message "Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator"
When he wanted to open the Registry (in the menu Run type Regedit), appears the message "Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator"
There is no Folder Options menu in Windows Explorer
Menu Command Prompt nothing you can not run

As an alternative to manually change, a lot of freeware that provides this facility. Usually software "tweaks" to optimize the registry using windows performance. One of them is WinSecret TweakNow Professional. This freeware can be used for Windows XP / XP x64/Vista/Vista x64.

TweakNow provide facilities for changing and optimize various things, including:

Applications (IE, Outlook, Yahoo Messenger)
Control Panel
Desktop
Miscellaneous
Network & Internet
OEM Info, information when you right-click> Properties on MyComputer
Special Folders
Start Menu
User Accounts
Windows Core
Windows Explorer

Only, for version 1.5 not provide facilities to display the Folder Options in the hidden, and often eliminate the virus this menu. To restore manually, can be set registry settings in the following locations:

System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer]
Name: NoFolderOptions

In fact Microsoft itself also made a small application to change some settings in the registry, so some facilities may appear hidden, called Tweak UI is incorporated in the Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP. Despite the simple appearance and size of only about 147 KB, but it provides enough facilities. Download Tweak UI here.

If you want to tamper with the registry yourself, please download the Windows Registry Guide (File CHM / HTML Help with size of about 1.15 MB). This tutorial provides an abundant articles to edit the registry. But please read the tutorial first if, because if not careful, could damage the system.
